Explore the beauty of Baculin : "Little Maldives of Hinatuan"

Amazing sand is located at Baculin a small barangay in the municipality of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur, CARAGA Philippines. Hinatuan is known to be the home of the famous Enchanted River, now that Amazing Sand is a new discovered place in the area it has been a hot topic to this year summer place to visit. 


The place is instagrammable because of it's  unique structure of manmade wooden pathways that connects to each cottages and the blue-green crystal sea water and fine white sand. A lot of activities can be done here, banana boat riding, diving, kayaking, etc. Kids also can still enjoy in the area during low tide because the sandbar can be visible. The owners use solar panels and area is poor when it comes to mobile network. Some resort owner offers a room for accommodation to those who want to stay overnight. Before you visit the place make sure to contact the availability of room or cottages to save a room for you to avoid any hassle. Their contact number can be easily find in Facebook. No need to worry because toilet is available in some resort cottages. Some fishermen also sells fresh seafoods during the day with reasonable prices. Sari-sari store is also available, they also offer to cook food for you. 




Halfway going there is a rough road because it's still under construction. The best month visit there is  during dry season February to July. 

How to get there?
  • from Davao or Butuan City, ride a PUV going to Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur.
  • ask the driver to drop you off to Barangay Poblacion in Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur. From there you can ride a single motor for your transportation, but if you have private vehicle, ask locals to assist you going to Barangay Baculin.
  • from Barangay Baculin, you can ride a pump boat going to Amazing Sand Resort
  • other way is around if you are planning to stay for awhile in Harip, you can also ask the local fishermen their to bring you to Amazing Sand Resort.
